Tom Velasco | I’ve been a Christian for most of my life, having been taught the truths of the Gospel from the time I was a child by Grandfather, who would wake me up as a pre-adolescent at 4:30 in the morning to do Bible studies with me. Although I had moments of wavering in my faith and even a couple of years where I would’ve described myself as an agnostic, God was always faithful to keep bringing me back around to him. By the time I was eighteen, I found myself firm in my belief in Jesus Christ and his Gospel, and possessing a fervent desire to serve him with all my life, a desire that has not wavered in the years since. In college at BSU I was actively involved in ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ and, after graduation, found my way into serving with the youth ministry at Calvary Chapel Boise. In the years that followed, I served both as a highs school youth pastor and an assistant pastor, while also teaching humanities and classical languages to junior high and high schoolers. I’m currently serving as an elder at Calvary Chapel Boise while teaching humanities to 12th graders and Logic to 8th graders at The Ambrose School.
This is a group of local musicians that have come together for the purpose of helping these students worship God during this week.
